ARE SCHOOLS CLOSED TODAY?

The Samsun Governorate announced that due to heavy snowfall and icing, education has been suspended in all public, private, and non-formal education institutions in the 19 Mayıs, Asarcık, Ayvacık, Havza, Kavak, Ladik, Salıpazarı, and Vezirköprü districts.

Additionally, it was reported that bused education has been suspended in the Alaçam, Atakum, Bafra, Canik, İlkadım, and Tekkeköy districts.

In a statement made by the Kastamonu Governorate, it was conveyed that due to heavy snowfall and icing, "bused education" in the city center has been suspended for one day on Tuesday, February 18.

In an announcement made by the Sinop Governorate, it was similarly stated that "Bused education has been suspended for 1 day. Furthermore, public employees with disabilities and pregnant employees will be on administrative leave for 1 day on Tuesday, February 18, without the need for further instruction or request.

In Amasya, due to snowfall, bused education in the Gümüşhacıköy and Hamamözü districts has been suspended for 1 day on Tuesday, February 18.

In a statement made by the Amasya Governorate Press and Public Relations Directorate, it was stated, "Due to snowfall, education has been suspended for one day only for our students benefiting from the bused education system in our Gümüşhacıköy and Hamamözü districts."

ARE SCHOOLS CLOSED IN ISTANBUL AND ANKARA?

According to meteorological data, Siberian cold has begun to show its effect. Sleet is expected in Ankara today, and snowfall is expected tomorrow.

In Istanbul, snowfall is predicted to begin starting Wednesday, February 19. The Istanbul Governorate has not yet announced a decision regarding the closure of schools.
