2 illegal migrants emerge from barley field in Aksaray

Two migrants who entered Turkey through illegal means emerged from a barley field. 

The incident occurred at midnight on the 10th kilometer of the Aksaray - Konya highway. According to information obtained, agricultural workers from Şanlıurfa, who had tents by the roadside, saw two individuals moving while hiding in the fields. 

Suspicious of the situation, the agricultural workers immediately called the 112 Emergency Call Center to report it. Upon the report, police teams were dispatched to the scene. 

The Provincial Police Department's Public Order and Counter-Terrorism (TEM) branch teams, who arrived in the region in a short time, effectively blockaded the area. After conducting search and sweep operations in the agricultural lands for a while, the Counter-Terrorism branch teams apprehended the two suspects while they were hiding among the grass in the field. 

The two suspects, who were taken into custody there, underwent their initial interrogation at the scene, and examinations revealed them to be Mahmut Ennevaf and Hasan El Ahmed. While police teams conducted a wide-scale search at the scene due to the possibility of other illegal migrants, the two suspects were taken into custody in the field and transported to the police station for deportation procedures.
