Diyarbakır's Lice district saw the seizure of 170,500 cannabis plants and 52 kilograms of cannabis as a result of operations conducted there.
According to a statement from the Governor's Office, teams from the Provincial and District Gendarmerie Commands carried out an operation yesterday in the rural neighborhoods of Kutlu and Damar in the district. The operation aimed to reveal the link between the separatist terrorist organization and those involved in illegal drug production and trafficking with concrete evidence, and to find and bring to justice those hiding drugs in the operation area.
During the operation, 170,500 cannabis plants and 52 kilograms of powdered cannabis were seized.
