Bathroom dispute ends in murder: Former footballer Yattara's friend, who worked at a factory in Beyoğlu, killed!

Oumar Kante (34), a Guinean national working at a factory in Beyoğlu, was stabbed to death by his roommate I.B. during a dispute over bathroom usage. While the suspect I.B. was taken into custody, former footballer İbrahim Yattara arrived at the Forensic Medicine Institute upon receiving the news of the death of Kante, who was also an amateur footballer.

Oumar Kante, a Guinean national working at a factory in the Kasımpaşa neighborhood of Istanbul's Beyoğlu district, was preparing to go to work yesterday morning (November 14) around 07:00 AM with his roommate, also a Guinean national, I.B.

According to allegations, the two friends began arguing after a disagreement over bathroom usage. As the argument escalated, I.B. stabbed 34-year-old Oumar Kante. Kante was rushed to the hospital but could not be saved despite all interventions.

It was learned that the deceased Kante was an amateur footballer and a friend of former footballer İbrahim Yattara.

Yattara arrived at the Forensic Medicine Institute to assist with the funeral procedures. The suspect I.B. was apprehended and taken into custody.

"I AM SAD"

İbrahim Yattara said, "There is nothing to say, I am sad. I really do not want to talk much. Because I am Guinean. If a Guinean takes the life of another Guinean, I cannot accept that. That is why I do not want to talk much."
