Bloody ambush in front of his home: Taxi driver murdered in Zeytinburnu
In Zeytinburnu, a taxi driver was allegedly stabbed to death in front of his home by individuals with whom he had a prior dispute.
Taxi driver Erhan Çiftçi lost his life in an attack that occurred this morning on 84/C Street in the Telsiz neighborhood of Zeytinburnu. Çiftçi, who was walking home after finishing his shift at around 08:15, was subjected to a knife attack by individuals with whom he allegedly had a prior dispute.
Upon notification by bystanders, health and police teams were dispatched to the area. Medical personnel determined that Çiftçi had died at the scene. Police teams secured the street and conducted a forensic investigation. Following the examinations, Çiftçi's body was taken to the Forensic Medicine Institute for an autopsy.
Tayfun Sülük, a colleague of the deceased, expressed his sorrow, saying, "He was a decent friend who worked here. We don't know how something like this happened to him. Whoever did this will be caught. He had worked the night shift and was heading home."
