A wedding held in the village of Menzil in the Kahta district of Adıyaman became the scene of tense moments due to inheritance disputes. The wedding organized for the son of Sheikh Muhammed Saki Elhüseyni took place with the participation of hundreds of people. During the celebrations, traditional dances were performed to Kurdish songs.
However, after the wedding, tensions escalated due to the ongoing inheritance disputes in the background. According to eyewitnesses, the argument, which started verbally, quickly turned into a physical fight, and the parties were separated with difficulty.
The leadership and inheritance struggles that began following the death of community leader Abdülbaki Erol last year have now spilled over into celebratory events like weddings.
