Deadly crash in İzmir! Truck with failed brakes plows into 7 vehicles: 3 dead, 7 injured
In the Kemalpaşa district of İzmir, 3 people lost their lives and 7 were injured after a truck with failed brakes collided with 7 vehicles.
At around 18:30 at the Nazarköy junction in Kemalpaşa, İzmir, a potato-laden truck with license plate 03 AFU 332, driven by Dede G., suffered a brake failure and plowed into vehicles waiting at a red light.
In the accident, where the truck struck 7 vehicles, Arzu Darik Şeneren (45), Buse Asena Köymen (31), and Murat Gül (49) lost their lives, and 7 people were injured.
The injured were taken to hospitals by ambulances arriving at the scene for treatment, and it was learned that 2 of the injured are in critical condition.
While police teams took security measures at the scene, it was observed that the vehicles struck by the truck were reduced to piles of scrap metal.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
