Femicide in Ankara: 50-year-old man murders 21-year-old neighbor and commits suicide
In the Çubuk district of Ankara, a man entered his neighbor's home and killed a 21-year-old woman. Following the murder, the individual committed suicide with the same weapon.
On May 2, at approximately 20:30, a man identified as M.A. (50) entered the home of his next-door neighbor, H.Ç. (21), in a building located on Naim Street, Yıldırım Beyazıt Şehit Mustafa Aslan Avenue, in the Çubuk district of Ankara.
He first shot the young woman in the head with a firearm and then committed suicide by shooting himself in the head. It was learned that both individuals lived alone and were neighbors in a building where residents did not hear the gunshot or the murder.

Friends at her workplace became suspicious when she did not show up for her shift and reported the situation to the police. Upon the report, police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene.
The bodies of M.A. and H.Ç., who were determined to have died at the scene, were first taken to the morgue of Halil Şıvgın Çubuk State Hospital and then to the Ankara Forensic Medicine Institute for autopsy.
