Fire in a 5-story apartment building in Ankara! 9 people affected
In the Çankaya district, 9 people were affected by smoke in a fire that broke out in an apartment on the 4th floor of a 5-story building. According to initial findings, the fire is believed to have been caused by an electrical fault.
A fire broke out around 02:00 in an apartment on the 4th floor of a 5-story building located on Tunalı Hilmi Street in the Çankaya district of Ankara, where Fatma Fitnat Atalay, Yusuf Tayfun Çakmak, and Gülhan Çakmak resided.
Fire crews arrived at the scene upon notification and brought the fire under control before it could spread, subsequently extinguishing it.

Six people affected by smoke, including Atalay, the Çakmak couple, and others who entered the building to help evacuate residents from other apartments, were taken to the hospital by ambulance.
It was learned that the 9 people affected by the smoke are not in life-threatening condition.
An investigation has been launched into the fire, which is believed to have been caused by an electrical fault according to initial findings.

Cem Meral, who witnessed the incident, told reporters that a woman ran out of the building screaming, prompting him to enter the building to help evacuate the residents.
Stating that Fatma Fitnat Atalay was panicked due to the fire, Meral explained that he helped Gülhan Çakmak and another person who had entered the building to help others evacuate but had been affected by the smoke to get out.

Meral said that an explosion occurred in the building where the fire broke out after the residents had been evacuated.
