First statement from Armut following access ban

The Istanbul Anatolian 7th Criminal Judgeship of Peace ruled on December 4, 2025, to block access to Armut.com, a platform where cleaning, renovation, moving, and similar services are offered. The decision went into effect covering all service areas of the platform.

STATEMENT FROM ARMUT REGARDING THE DECISION

In a statement released by the company following the access ban, it was noted that the decision in question had not been officially served to them. Armut announced that it has initiated the necessary legal steps through its lawyers to have the access ban lifted. The statement also indicated that updates would be shared with users in the coming days.

"WE ARE UNABLE TO ACCESS THE GROUNDS"

The statement from Armut is as follows:

"Upon noticing after 18:00 on 08.12.2025 that our website armut.com could be accessed from abroad but not from Turkey, we learned that an access ban had been imposed on our site by the Information and Communication Technologies Authority (BTK) based on a court order dated 04.12.2025. The decision in question has not yet been served to us.

Furthermore, as the access ban was implemented after business hours, we are currently unable to access the text of the relevant court order and, consequently, the grounds for the access ban.

Our lawyers will go to the courthouse first thing in the morning to access the file, obtain detailed information on the matter, and immediately initiate all necessary legal actions to lift this access ban, which we believe is unjust.

As soon as we clarify the grounds and the details of the process, we will inform both our service providers and our service-receiving users and share the information with the public."
