The foreign currency beggar: Exchanged her takings for Turkish Lira at a currency exchange office

A woman seen begging on the street with her child in Karaköy, Beyoğlu, asked tourists in the area for money. The tourists, feeling sorry for the beggar, gave her money.

The beggar, who collected the money from the tourists, later took those funds to a currency exchange office and converted them into Turkish Lira.

The moment the beggar converted the money she had collected into Turkish Lira was captured on camera.

While it is unknown exactly how much money the beggar collected, the woman left the exchange office and disappeared from sight after a short while.
