Governor's Office announces: Vatan Avenue closed to traffic

In Istanbul, Vatan Avenue has been closed to vehicle traffic as of 06:00 this morning for rehearsals to be held for August 30 Victory Day.

According to the announcement made by the Istanbul Governor's Office, the roads closed today are as follows:

"Due to the August 30 Victory Day rehearsals taking place on Vatan Avenue, Adnan Menderes Boulevard (Vatan Ave.) in both directions, entrances to Adnan Menderes Boulevard (Vatan Avenue) from the D-100 North and South directions, entrances to Adnan Menderes Boulevard (Vatan Avenue) from 10th Year Avenue, entrances to Adnan Menderes Boulevard (Vatan Avenue) from Edirnekapı, entrances to Adnan Menderes Boulevard (Vatan Avenue) from Oğuzhan Avenue, entrances to Adnan Menderes Boulevard (Vatan Avenue) from Sofular Avenue, entrances to Adnan Menderes Boulevard (Vatan Avenue) from Halıcılar Avenue, entrances to Adnan Menderes Boulevard (Vatan Avenue) from Akdeniz Avenue, entrances to Adnan Menderes Boulevard (Vatan Avenue) from Akşemsettin Avenue, entrances to Adnan Menderes Boulevard (Vatan Avenue) from Ordu Avenue and Atatürk Boulevard (from Aksaray), entrances to Adnan Menderes Boulevard (Vatan Avenue) from Keçeci Meydan Street, entrances to Vatan Avenue from the south via the Market Road (Hal Yolu), all streets and avenues leading to Adnan Menderes Boulevard (Vatan Avenue), access to Vatan Avenue from Tatlıpınar Avenue, access to Vatan Avenue from Kaleboyu Avenue, and access to Vatan Avenue from Sulukule Avenue (from inside the walls) are closed, while alternative routes will be: Turgut Özal Millet Avenue, Fevzipaşa Avenue, Atatürk Boulevard, the D-100 Highway, and the O-3 Market Road (Hal Yolu)."
