An explosive device was thrown by an unidentified person or persons into a business used as a restaurant and entertainment venue on the second floor of a 5-story building on Park Street in the Hürriyet neighborhood.
Upon notification, numerous police and ambulance teams were dispatched to the address.
Seven people injured in the incident, three of whom are in serious condition, were taken to hospitals by ambulance.
Teams closed the street to traffic and conducted a search of the area, including under vehicles and along the street, with a bomb-sniffing dog.
The teams seized security camera footage from surrounding businesses for examination.
The police have launched an investigation to apprehend the fleeing suspect or suspects.
