Horrific incident in Esenler: Mother kills her baby by putting paint thinner in his bottle!

An investigation was launched after 2-year-old Yunus Emre Ç., who was taken to a hospital in Fatih on September 26 by Istanbul Police Department teams due to chemical poisoning, lost his life on November 14 despite all medical interventions.

Investigations revealed that the deceased baby was born out of wedlock, and that his mother was Dilek Ç. (23) and his father was Y.E. (46).

As part of the investigation, it was determined that the mother, Dilek Ç., had put paint thinner into her baby's bottle and made him drink it.

During further questioning, it was learned that Dilek Ç. had fallen into a state of depression because no one was supporting her or her child, who was born out of wedlock. The mother and father were taken into custody as part of the investigation initiated into the incident.

Following the procedures at the police station, the mother, Dilek Ç., was referred to the courthouse on charges of 'intentional homicide' and was arrested by the court, while the father, Y.E., was released under judicial control conditions.
