The Ministry of National Defense Ankara General Directorate of Factories initiated a procurement process on September 19, 2024, for coolant fluid for F-4 aircraft. Although the tender included many items, the item regarding the coolant fluid drew attention.

According to the report by Fırat Fıstık from Sözcü; According to the information announced by the institution on its own website, it was announced that the fluid with the code S0123 would be purchased from a company named Elbit Systems, based in Haifa, Israel.

VETO ON TURKISH COMPANY

The issue that needs to be discussed regarding the Ministry's purchase is not limited to this. Several Turkish companies applied to the Ministry regarding this purchase prior to the acquisition. These companies, which stated that they could also produce the coolant fluid, had even received an analysis report from TÜBİTAK regarding this. However, even though it was stated that trade with Israel had ended, the response the Ministry provided to the Turkish companies was negative.

It was stated that no bid could be submitted as a domestic applicant for the procurement in question, and therefore the purchase could not be realized from the Turkish company.
