Japanese earthquake expert warns that region: It's coming like dominoes...
Japanese earthquake expert Yoshinori Moriwaki made significant statements regarding earthquakes in Turkey. Emphasizing that earthquakes in Turkey follow one another, Moriwaki commented, "Turkey's earthquake activity is moving from east to west like dominoes." He also issued warnings for 3 provinces located in the second earthquake zone.
In his statements in Iğdır, Moriwaki addressed Turkey's earthquake risk. Stating that earthquakes in Turkey follow one another, Moriwaki explained how the earthquakes develop. "How do earthquakes happen in Turkey? There was an earthquake in Erzincan in 1939 and an earthquake in Tokat in 1941. In other words, Turkey's earthquake activity is moving from east to west exactly like dominoes, and it reached the 1999 Gölcük Earthquake," he said.
"PROVINCES IN TURKEY ARE TURNING BRIGHT RED"
"Provinces in Turkey are turning bright red," Moriwaki continued, noting that Iğdır is in the second dangerous zone. He stated that when looking back at historical dates, a major earthquake of magnitude 7 has not occurred there. Expressing that it is impossible to say that an earthquake will never happen because there is a fault line, Moriwaki said, "There is no need to be as afraid as someone living in İzmir or Istanbul."
