Man dies while trying to relieve himself by the roadside

In the incident that occurred near the Karadere neighborhood on the D-020 highway, 57-year-old Ahmet Yavuzer pulled his vehicle over to the side of the road when he needed to use the restroom while traveling from his summer house in the Denizköy neighborhood to his residence in the Üsküdar district of Istanbul.

When Yavuzer's relatives, who had not heard from him, went to the area after he fell approximately 7 meters into the creek while trying to relieve himself, they were met with a tragic scene.

Upon notification, health, fire department, gendarmerie, and AFAD teams were dispatched to the area. Medical teams determined that Yavuzer had lost his life.

Following the work carried out in the area, Yavuzer's lifeless body was removed from where it was found and taken to the morgue of the Sakarya Training and Research Hospital Korucuk Campus.

The individual's relatives shed tears at the scene. The gendarmerie teams have launched an investigation into the incident.
