Man shot and killed by rival while receiving hospital treatment
In the Edremit district of Balıkesir, 37-year-old Emrah İmamoğlu, who was receiving treatment at a hospital, lost his life after being shot with a handgun by his rival, 22-year-old Efe A.
A person receiving treatment at a hospital in the Edremit district of Balıkesir was shot and killed by his rival.
Emrah İmamoğlu (37), who was receiving treatment at the Orthopedics Department of Edremit State Hospital, was subjected to an armed attack by Efe A. (22), with whom he reportedly had a long-standing feud.
Critically injured, İmamoğlu was transferred to Balıkesir Atatürk City Hospital following initial intervention at the scene.
Despite all medical efforts there, İmamoğlu could not be saved.
Police teams, who examined the hospital's security cameras, apprehended Efe A. shortly after he fled the scene.
The suspect, who was taken into custody, was arrested by the court following his processing at the police station.
