The General Directorate of Meteorology has released its weather forecast for Monday, October 19. According to the latest assessments, partly to very cloudy weather will be effective in the northern, inner, and eastern parts of the country.
Local showers and thunderstorms are expected in the vicinity of Hatay, Trabzon, Rize, and Gümüşhane, as well as in the northern and southeastern parts of Adana, the eastern part of Sivas, the northern districts of Artvin, and the western part of Erzincan. In other regions, the weather is expected to be mostly clear and sunny.
Temperatures are forecast to hover around seasonal norms in the eastern parts and below normal in other regions. Temperatures are expected to be 18°C in Istanbul, 14°C in Ankara, and 22°C in Izmir.
STRONG WIND WARNING
It has been reported that winds will generally blow from the south, and from the north in the southwestern parts of the country, at light to occasionally moderate strength. On the Western Black Sea coast, winds are expected to blow strongly from the southwest at speeds of 40 to 60 kilometers per hour.
