Yerlikaya announced that 17,427 drivers who did not wear seatbelts while driving during the first three days of the Ramadan Feast holiday (Saturday, Sunday, and Monday) were processed. He reminded that it is a legal requirement for drivers and passengers to wear seatbelts in all vehicles, including buses.
Stating that the use of seatbelts in traffic accidents reduces fatalities by 45 percent, Yerlikaya emphasized that inspections are continuing uninterruptedly by land and air.
