Mother and boyfriend of woman strangled to death in Mamak taken into custody
In the investigation into the strangulation death of a woman in Ankara's Mamak district, her mother and a person alleged to be the young woman's boyfriend have been taken into custody as suspects.
It has been determined that 28-year-old Esra Muratoğlu lost her life by strangulation in an apartment located in the Kutlu neighborhood of Ankara's Mamak district.
Following the death, the cause of which has not yet been clarified, police and medical teams were dispatched to the address upon reports from local citizens.
While medical teams confirmed that the young woman had passed away, Muratoğlu's body was taken to the Forensic Medicine Institute for an autopsy following the prosecutor's examination. As part of the investigation launched by police teams, Muratoğlu's mother, Ç.Y., and O.K., who is alleged to be her boyfriend, were apprehended and taken into custody as suspects.
It was reported that a relative of Esra Muratoğlu, who was known to be a mother of three, fell ill upon hearing the news of her death. It was noted that the investigation into the murder is continuing in a multi-faceted manner.
