Motorcycle courier shot in a hail of bullets in front of his home in Tokat

An armed attack in the Erbaa district of Tokat has claimed a life. Gunshots heard around 04:30 on Sipahi Street in the Ziya Gökalp neighborhood of the district center caused panic in the area.

FOUND COVERED IN BLOOD IN FRONT OF HIS HOME

Family members who went outside upon hearing the gunshots found 41-year-old Orhan Kocataş lying motionless on the ground in front of his home. Upon notification, 112 Emergency Health teams were dispatched to the scene.

LOST HIS LIFE AT THE HOSPITAL

Kocataş, who sustained injuries to his head and various parts of his body, was taken to Erbaa State Hospital following initial intervention by medical teams at the scene. However, despite all efforts, he could not be saved and lost his life.

7 SPENT CASINGS FOUND, NO WEAPON

During the examination conducted by police teams at the scene of the attack, 7 spent casings were identified, while the weapon used in the attack could not be located. Teams have launched a wide-scale investigation to determine the identity of the attacker or attackers.

It was learned that the deceased, Orhan Kocataş, worked as a motorcycle courier.
