Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Murat Kurum shared the application figures regarding TOKİ's 500,000 social housing project, which was announced to the public as the "housing project of the century."
Minister Kurum said, "8 million 840 thousand of our citizens applied to our campaign for the housing project of the century. The number of valid applications that meet all criteria is 5 million 242 thousand."
Providing information regarding the distribution of applications, Kurum continued his words as follows:
"The province from which we received the most applications is Istanbul, followed by Ankara and Izmir. Again, the category with the most applications is our youth... We are starting to draw our first lots for the 500,000 houses we will build in 81 provinces on December 29, before the year ends."
