New details have emerged in the investigation into the murder of national coach Funda Bakış in Sancaktepe, Istanbul. While 21-year-old Zehra G., who was detained following the incident, has been arrested, the statement reflected in the file includes claims that there was a debt issue between the two women.

Three suspects detained as part of the investigation were referred to the courthouse. Murder suspect Zehra G. was arrested by the court and sent to prison. The other 2 suspects were released under judicial control conditions.

CLAIM OF 150 THOUSAND LIRA DEBT IN STATEMENT

According to the report by Mustafa Şekeroğlu from Habertürk, it was learned that Zehra G. had worked as a coach at Funda Bakış's gym for a period. In her statement, the suspect claimed that she had given Bakış 120 thousand lira by taking out a loan, and an additional 30 thousand lira worth of gold as a loan.

According to Zehra G.'s account, she worked at Bakış's gym for about 1 year and left the job 2 months ago. Claiming that she could not get her money back, the suspect said that they met on the day of the incident to talk about the money issue.

ARGUMENT STARTED IN FRONT OF A CAFE

According to the work of the Murder Bureau teams, Funda Bakış and Zehra G. met in front of a cafe near the gym. It was determined that the conversation between the two, which started on the street, turned into an argument in a short time.

According to the information obtained, upon the escalation of the argument, Zehra G. took out a small pocket knife from her bag and swung it at Bakış. 39-year-old Funda Bakış, who was seriously injured in the chest, was taken to the hospital but could not be saved despite the doctors' intervention.

In the investigation launched after the incident, 3 people, including Zehra G., were detained. After the procedures at the police station were completed, the suspects were referred to the courthouse. The court decided to arrest Zehra G. and release the other 2 suspects under judicial control.
