Newborn baby found in Antalya Airport restroom
A newborn baby was found in an accessible restroom at Antalya Airport; 2 Russian nationals have been taken into custody.
According to a statement from the Antalya Governor's Office, a report was made to the Antalya Airport police by a cleaning staff member regarding a newborn baby found inside a toilet bowl in an accessible restroom.
In the investigation conducted by the Provincial Security Directorate teams, it was determined that the baby had been abandoned 12 minutes before being discovered by a Russian national identified as E.B., and that this individual later proceeded to the passport control counters with another person, also a Russian national identified as E.B., to complete exit procedures from the country.
The teams took the 2 suspects into custody as they were about to depart for Moscow.
The newborn baby was taken to the hospital after receiving intervention from medical teams.
