Renovation work on the Kadıköy-Moda Tram Line: Services to be temporarily suspended

The Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) has announced that comprehensive maintenance and rail renewal work will be carried out on the T3 Kadıköy-Moda Tram Line, one of Kadıköy's iconic transport routes. The work is scheduled to begin on Monday, October 19.

As part of the project, which will be carried out by the İBB Department of Rail Systems, a revision will be made to an approximately 570-meter section of the line between the Kilise and Moda İlkokulu stations. The work aims to renew the line's infrastructure, including breaking up the sub-concrete.

The municipality stated that the arrangement is being made to strengthen the existing infrastructure and increase travel comfort. Tram services will be temporarily suspended during the work.

During this period, alternative transportation for passengers will be provided by IETT's electric vehicles, which serve on the Princes' Islands. The vehicles will transport passengers starting from Kadıköy İDO up to the Damga Sokak station.

The alternative route will continue after the Bahariye station via Sakızgülü Sokak and Moda Caddesi; the vehicles will reconnect to the T3 route at the Rızapaşa station. For this reason, service will not be available at the Kilise, Moda İlkokulu, and Moda stations.
