Route of Istanbul's longest bus line, 500T, has been changed

The Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) Transportation Coordination Center (UKOME) has made an important decision regarding the 500T, one of the most well-known and frequently used urban transport lines. According to the decision taken by majority vote, the 500T Tuzla Şifa Neighborhood – Cevizlibağ line will no longer stop at Cevizlibağ. The new route will start from Tuzla Şifa Neighborhood and end at the 4. Levent Metro station.

For years, the 500T line served as the longest bus route connecting both the Anatolian and European sides. However, traffic and timing problems caused by the excessive length of the line were leading to disruptions in regular services.

The aim is to increase service quality and provide passengers with more regular transportation.

ALTERNATIVE FOR CEVİZLİBAĞ PASSENGERS: 500L

With the new route arrangement, since the 500T now ends at 4. Levent, a new regulation has been made for passengers who want to go directly to Cevizlibağ. In this context, the capacity of the 500L line is being increased.

The İBB has planned the transfer system as follows:

Transfers from the 500T line to the 500L line will be free of charge.

However, 1 full ticket fare will be applied for transfers from the 500L to the 500T.
