During the Eid al-Adha holiday, Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport successfully managed the high traffic by serving more than 701 thousand passengers.
Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport hosted 701 thousand 178 passengers between June 5 and June 9 during the Eid al-Adha holiday. A total of 3 thousand 895 flights were operated during this period, providing passengers with a safe and comfortable travel experience.
Citizens taking advantage of the holiday used the airport, with 316 thousand 477 passengers on domestic flights and 384 thousand 701 on international flights. Airport management made comprehensive preparations to manage the increased passenger traffic smoothly. To increase operational capacity, the number of personnel was raised, and adjustments were made to E-passport counters and X-ray checkpoints.

On June 5, 2025, a new record was set for daily flights and passenger numbers with 796 passenger aircraft flights and a total of 144 thousand 590 passengers. During this process, the airport increased comfort by offering services such as free Wi-Fi and drinking water to passengers. Additionally, the digital assistant SAVVy provided support to passengers by offering instant solutions for customer service inquiries.
