Some roads in Istanbul closed to traffic for August 30 Victory Day celebrations
In Istanbul, Vatan Avenue and its connecting roads were closed to traffic in the morning hours due to the August 30 Victory Day ceremonies.
As part of the August 30 Victory Day celebrations, Adnan Menderes Boulevard, formerly known as Vatan Avenue, was closed to vehicle traffic in Istanbul in the early hours of the morning.
Due to the celebration program, traffic flow at the entrances and exits to the avenue was also halted. Vehicles traveling in the area were directed to previously determined alternative routes.
Authorities stated that traffic on Vatan Avenue will return to normal once the ceremonies have concluded.
