Statement from the ÖSYM President: Legal process initiated
ÖSYM President Bayram Ali Ersoy made a statement regarding the completed YKS and YDT exams, saying, "A legal process has been initiated regarding social media posts intended for disinformation and reports appearing in some media outlets during the exam process."
The third and final session of the Higher Education Institutions Examination (YKS), conducted by the Student Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM), which began at 15:45, concluded as of 17:45 with the Foreign Language Test (YDT).
The YDT, the third and final session of the YKS, ended at 17:45. In the exam, which was taken by 222 thousand 473 people in English, 5 thousand 913 in Arabic, 3 thousand in German, 1206 in French, and 797 in Russian, candidates were given 120 minutes for 80 questions. A total of 1028 buildings and 11 thousand 44 halls were used for the exam. 36 thousand 46 people served in the final session of the exam. With the completion of the YDT, the 2024 YKS process has come to an end.
STATEMENT FROM THE ÖSYM PRESIDENT: LEGAL PROCESS HAS BEEN INITIATED
ÖSYM President Bayram Ali Ersoy also made a statement, noting that the 2024 YKS process was completed successfully and thanking everyone who contributed. Ersoy announced that 3 million 120 thousand 878 candidates had applied for the exam. Ersoy said, "A legal process has been initiated regarding social media posts intended for disinformation and reports appearing in some media outlets during the exam process."
