Stole the dog, hid it in a shed: The dog's value drew attention!

In an incident that occurred in the Yenimahalle district of Ankara, an unidentified person broke the lock on a dog kennel located in front of a business and stole the valuable dog inside. It was learned that the stolen dog was an English Bull Terrier named "Anapolis".

THERE ARE ONLY 30 IN TURKEY AND ONLY 2 IN ANKARA

It was stated that Anapolis, which holds a certificate from the Dog Breeds and Cynology Federation (KIF), is one of only 30 in all of Turkey and one of only 2 in Ankara. Furthermore, Anapolis held the title of Turkey Puppy Champion at the KIF 2024 Ankara Cup Championship. The market value of the dog was recorded as approximately 10,000 euros.

THEFT BUREAU TEAMS STEPPED IN

When the owner of the dog reported the incident to the police immediately, an investigation was launched by the teams of the Ankara Police Department's Public Security Branch, Theft and Pickpocketing Bureau. The teams identified the suspect by examining security cameras in the surrounding area.

FOUND IN A HIDDEN COMPARTMENT IN A SHED

The suspect was taken into custody during an operation conducted at the identified address. During searches conducted in a shed in the same area, the dog was found in good health inside a hidden compartment. Anapolis was returned to its owner.

COURT ISSUED AN ARREST WARRANT

After being processed at the police station, the suspect was referred to the courthouse, where they were arrested by the court and sent to prison.
