Terrifying incident in Kocaeli: Ignored warnings and entered the sea at night, dismembered body found
A dismembered male body was found in the sea in the Kandıra district of Kocaeli.
In the Çalköy Seyrek neighborhood of Kocaeli's Kandıra district, 45-year-old Ferhat Y. could not be reached for some time after entering the sea at night despite his friends' warnings.
A search operation for Ferhat Y. was initiated by his friends and relatives.
After a search lasting approximately 4 hours, fishermen who found a male body on the water's surface brought the body, which had a dismembered face and body, to the shore.
Upon the notification of the fishermen, health, Coast Guard Command, and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the area.
It was reported that the body, which is believed to have been dismembered as a result of being struck by a boat propeller, may belong to Ferhat Y. due to a mark on its leg.
The body was taken to the Kandıra State Hospital morgue for an autopsy.
