Terrifying moments at a hotel in Alanya: Hotel catches fire

A hotel fire that occurred at midnight in the Alanya district of Antalya caused brief panic in the area. The fire, which broke out on the roof of a 3-star hotel operating on Ahmet Tokuş Street in the Cumhuriyet neighborhood, was brought under control with the intervention of teams dispatched to the scene upon notification. While there was no loss of life or injury in the fire, significant material damage occurred in the roof section of the hotel.

FLAMES ENGULFED THE ROOF

The fire broke out on the roof of the hotel at around 00:30. Hotel staff, who noticed the thick smoke and flames rising from the roof section, reported the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center without delay. Following the report, numerous teams were directed to the area.

GUESTS AND STAFF SAFELY EVACUATED

In addition to the Alanya Municipality Fire Department teams, police, medical teams, and AFAD personnel were dispatched to the scene. Under the coordination of the teams, local and foreign tourists and staff in the hotel were removed from the building in a short time and taken to safe areas.

Police teams took extensive security measures in the surrounding area to ensure that no panic occurred during the evacuation process. Medical teams were kept on standby at the scene against any possible negative situation.

EXTINGUISHED AFTER AN INTERVENTION LASTING APPROXIMATELY 1 HOUR

Fire crews intervened heavily against the flames engulfing the roof. After about 1 hour of work, the fire was brought under control and completely extinguished.

Against the possibility of the fire reigniting, the teams carried out cooling work on the roof section for a long time.

NO INJURIES, DAMAGE OCCURRED ON THE ROOF

It was learned that there were no people affected by smoke or injured in the fire. However, significant material damage occurred on the roof of the hotel.
