Tragic accident on the Northern Marmara Motorway! Vehicle flipped and skidded for meters: Dead and injured reported

The accident occurred around 05:00 on the Edirne direction of the Northern Marmara Motorway, Sarıyer section. According to the information obtained, the car with license plate 07 AJT 144, driven by N.T., went off the road for an unknown reason.

In the car, which flipped through a wooded area and was thrown onto the side road, a child named M.T. lost their life at the scene, while 5 people from the same family, including 3 children, were injured. Upon notification, gendarmerie, fire department, and medical teams were dispatched to the scene.

Gendarmerie and fire department teams arriving at the scene extracted the mother, father, and 3 children, who were injured inside the vehicle, and handed them over to medical teams. The injured, who received initial intervention, were taken to the hospital by ambulance.

Crime scene investigation teams conducted examinations in and around the vehicle. Following the investigations, the body of the child named M.T., who lost their life at the scene, was taken to the Forensic Medicine Institute Morgue.
The gendarmerie teams have launched an investigation into the accident.
