THY CELEBRATED THE RECORD IN CHILE!

The Guinness record certificate was presented to THY General Manager Bilal Ekşi at a ceremony held at Santiago Arturo Merino Benitez International Airport following Turkish Airlines' first flight to Chile. The ceremony was attended by representatives from Guinness World Records as well as senior executives from THY.

Speaking at the ceremony, THY General Manager Bilal Ekşi stated that they were very happy to receive this record in Chile, a destination with such historical and cultural richness, and said, "We are further strengthening our mission of connecting people, cultures, and destinations all around the world." Guinness World Records representative Talal Omar emphasized that this achievement once again reveals THY's critical role in the global aviation sector.

According to the evaluation criteria of Guinness World Records, THY, which won this title with 120 countries actively flown to in the last 12 months, has increased its flight network to 131 countries with the flights it launched to Chile.

The new route increased the number of countries THY serves on the American continent to 10. The flights, which will be operated four times a week from Istanbul to Santiago with a connection via Sao Paulo, will make a significant contribution to the flight network that reaches 26 destinations on the American continent.
