Drunk driving horror in Kuşadası: Pedestrian crossing the road loses their life! Tragic accident caught on camera...

A person lost their life in a tragic accident that occurred at night on Süleyman Demirel Boulevard in the Kuşadası district of Aydın. The vehicle with license plate 09 APS 009, driven by 31-year-old E. C. Ç., was traveling from the direction of Toprak Junction toward Sümerbank Junction when it struck Birol Görgü, who was attempting to cross toward the Ciritoğlu Site.

The accident occurred in the left lane of the three-lane road. It is alleged that Birol Görgü was talking on his mobile phone at the time and was attempting to cross from a point near the median. The vehicle was traveling at high speed. According to security camera footage from the scene, it was noted that the driver did not show any reflex to slow down at the moment of impact with the pedestrian.

Birol Görgü, who was thrown meters away by the force of the impact, lost his life at the scene despite all interventions by medical teams. In the alcohol test conducted, it was determined that the driver, E. C. Ç., had a blood alcohol level of 2.39 promille.

While a comprehensive investigation into the accident has been launched, the drunk driver was taken into custody by police teams.
