Footage emerges of the tragic accident on the Northern Marmara Motorway that claimed 1 life
Security camera footage has emerged of the accident at the Mecidiye Toll Booths on the Pendik Northern Marmara Motorway, where a driver lost his life after crashing into the back of a semi-truck.
In the accident that occurred on the Ankara-bound side of the Northern Marmara Motorway near the Mecidiye Toll Booths yesterday morning, a light commercial vehicle with license plate 34 HMN 436 struck a semi-truck with license plate 59 FG 563 from behind as it was entering the toll lanes. The 31-year-old driver of the vehicle, Cihat Duman, lost his life in the accident.
Security camera footage of the moment of the accident has emerged. The footage shows the vehicle approaching at high speed and crashing into the back of the truck as it enters the toll booths to make a payment.
