ISTANBUL'S TRAFFIC SITUATION

Istanbul ranks first among cities where the most time is lost in traffic, with a loss of 118 hours. The report also noted that traffic delays increased by 15 percent compared to 2023. Istanbul is followed by Chicago with 112 hours, Mexico City with 108 hours, New York City with 102 hours, and Philadelphia with 101 hours.

TRAFFIC SITUATION IN OTHER CITIES

In Europe, the most intense traffic is experienced in Dublin, where drivers lose 95 hours per year. London and Paris follow Dublin with losses of 91 and 90 hours, respectively. On the African continent, Cape Town tops the list, with drivers losing 96 hours per year.

In the US, drivers lose an average of 43 hours per year in traffic, and the annual cost of this loss is calculated at 771 dollars. It is noted that traffic is particularly heavier on Fridays compared to other weekdays.
