Went boar hunting, died in bear attack
Mahmut Alkaya, a former village headman who went boar hunting in Sivas and was severely injured in a bear attack, has lost his life.
Mahmut Alkaya, the former headman of Karaçayır village in the Zara district of Sivas, and a friend went boar hunting the day before yesterday.
While walking on foot through the terrain, the former headman Mahmut Alkaya was attacked by a bear.
The headman, who was severely injured in the attack, was transported to Sivas by an air ambulance and taken under treatment.
Mahmut Alkaya, who had begun treatment at Sivas Numune Hospital, could not be saved despite all interventions.
