142 billion dollar deal between the US and Saudi Arabia

Bin Salman spoke at the Saudi Arabia-US Investment Forum, which was also attended by US President Donald Trump.

The Saudi Crown Prince touched upon the history of his country's relations with the US, saying, "Our country has a deep economic relationship with the US that began 92 years ago. Today, we are working on partnership opportunities with the US worth 600 billion dollars. Joint investments are one of the most important pillars of our economic relations with the US."

"WE HAVE SIGNED AGREEMENTS WITH THE US EXCEEDING 300 BILLION DOLLARS IN VALUE"

Stating that his country's economy is currently the "largest economy" in the region, Bin Salman said, "We have signed agreements with the US exceeding 300 billion dollars in value." Bin Salman noted that the trade volume between the US and Saudi Arabia reached 500 billion dollars between 2013 and 2024.

The Saudi Crown Prince also shared the information that "one-quarter of foreign investments in Saudi Arabia come from US companies." Trump, who visited Saudi Arabia as part of his Middle East tour, met with Bin Salman at the Yamamah Palace in the capital, Riyadh.

US President Donald Trump and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman had signed a Strategic Economic Partnership document. The agreements and memoranda of understanding signed by Trump and Bin Salman cover areas such as justice, health, space, customs, and air transport.

THE LARGEST ARMS SALE AGREEMENT IN HISTORY

The agreements include a memorandum signed between the US and Saudi defense ministries regarding the development and modernization of the Saudi army, as well as a series of agreements in the energy and defense sectors.

A statement from the White House also noted that among these agreements, "the largest arms sale agreement in history, worth 142 billion dollars, was signed between the US and Saudi Arabia."
