17 Houthi members killed in US strikes
The Iran-backed Houthis in Yemen have announced that a total of 17 Houthi members were killed in US strikes.
Clashes between the Iran-backed Houthis in Yemen and US and UK forces continue. In a statement released by the Houthis, it was reported that a total of 17 Houthi members were killed in US strikes.
The statement noted that a funeral ceremony was held today in the capital, Sana'a, for the Houthi members who died in operations carried out in cooperation between the US and the UK.
The Houthis had previously announced that they would target all ships heading to Israel or linked to Israel until the attacks in Gaza come to an end. The global supply chain has been negatively affected by the Houthi attacks in the Red Sea since November 19.
AIRSTRIKES CONDUCTED ON HOUTHI MILITARY SITES
The US, in response to attacks on commercial and naval vessels, has repeatedly conducted airstrikes on Houthi military sites.
Last week, the Houthis announced that missiles had been fired at US and British ships in the Red Sea, after which the US Central Command (CENTCOM) reported that the Houthis in Yemen had fired 6 anti-ship ballistic missiles at 2 ships passing through the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden, causing damage to one of the vessels.
