Two police officers who assaulted a 17-year-old in the city of Villiers-le-Bel, located in the Val-d'Oise department of France, have been suspended from duty.
According to a report by Le Parisien, footage was shared on social media showing two police officers from the Sarcelles station punching a 17-year-old youth while taking him into custody in Villiers-le-Bel.
Following the release of the footage, the two officers were suspended, and an investigation into the incident was initiated.
The footage shows one of the officers punching the youth while bringing him in front of a garage, while the other officer is seen lifting the youth after he fell to the ground and punching him as well.
