35 tons of cocaine seized at the Port of Hamburg
It has been reported that 35 tons of cocaine were seized during an operation at Germany's Port of Hamburg last year, and that 7 people have been detained in connection with subsequent operations linked to this initial seizure, which was kept from the public at the time.
In a statement issued by the Düsseldorf Public Prosecutor's Office, it was stated that 35 tons of cocaine were seized during an operation conducted in 2023.
The statement, which emphasized that a record amount of cocaine had been seized, noted that 7 suspects were detained in police raids conducted in connection with the operation across various federal states, including Hamburg, Berlin, Bavaria, and Lower Saxony.
It was stated that investigators would announce the details regarding the matter at a press conference to be held on Monday.
