According to data from the Iranian Seismological Center, the earthquake, which had its epicenter in the Garmsar district of Semnan province, was recorded at 05:16 local time.
It was stated that the earthquake, which was also felt in the capital Tehran, occurred at a depth of 11 kilometers.
In a statement made by the Semnan Crisis Management Center, it was reported that teams have been dispatched to the region, but no information regarding any damage has been received so far.
