4 drones shot down near US Consulate General in Erbil
It has been reported that 4 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) approaching the US Consulate General in Erbil, the capital of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) in Iraq, were destroyed by air defense systems stationed in the region.
As conflicts between the US and Iran continue, tensions remain high in other countries in the region. UAVs were detected in the vicinity of the US Consulate General located in Erbil, the capital of the KRG.
According to statements from Iraqi security sources, air defense systems belonging to the US-led international coalition forces were activated after the UAVs were detected. The 4 UAVs, which were stated to be targeting the Consulate General, were neutralized by the intervention of the air defense systems.
It was reported that there were no casualties or injuries in the incident, and no material damage occurred.
