4-story building collapses in India: Death toll rises to 11
The death toll from the collapse of a 4-story building in India's Delhi state has risen to 11.
According to a report on the NDTV channel, the number of people who died in the incident where a 4-story building collapsed in Delhi yesterday has increased.
While the number of people who lost their lives in the incident rose to 11, 11 people rescued from the rubble were transferred to the hospital.
Authorities noted that the collapsed building was not constructed according to standards and was built in an unauthorized area, and that other structures in the vicinity would also be inspected.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in a statement regarding the incident on his X account, expressed his condolences to the relatives of those who lost their lives and stated that 200,000 Indian Rupees (approximately 2,300 dollars) would be paid to the next of kin of each deceased person.
