A new prisoner exchange has taken place between Russia and Ukraine. The Russian Ministry of Defense announced that, within the scope of the agreement reached in Istanbul on July 23, 185 Russian soldiers and 20 civilians were exchanged for 185 Ukrainian soldiers and 20 civilians.
The ministry stated, "Currently, the Russian soldiers and civilians are on Belarusian territory, where they are receiving the necessary psychological and medical assistance. All returned Russian soldiers and civilians will be sent to Russia for treatment and rehabilitation."

"WE HAVE BROUGHT MORE THAN 7 THOUSAND OF OUR PEOPLE HOME"
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed the prisoner exchange, saying, "Everyone will certainly be provided with the necessary support. Our soldiers were in Mariupol, Azovstal, and Chernobyl. Most of them had been in captivity since 2022 and have now finally returned home. We thank everyone who made the exchange possible. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, we have brought more than 7 thousand of our people back home. We must bring them all back. We are working for this every day."
