500,000 Palestinians in Gaza forced to leave their homes
The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) has announced that 500,000 Palestinians have been displaced in the Gaza Strip following Israel's resumption of attacks after breaking the ceasefire.
According to information reported by the official Palestinian news agency WAFA from OCHA, approximately 500,000 Palestinians have been displaced in Gaza since March 18, 2025, when Israel broke the ceasefire and resumed its attacks.
It was recalled that hundreds of thousands of Palestinians were forced to leave their homes multiple times until the ceasefire reached on January 19, 2025, following the attacks on Gaza that Israel launched on October 7, 2023.
Following the intense attacks that Israel resumed on the morning of March 18 in Gaza, it was stated that Israel "continues to cause deaths, displacement, and target infrastructure" in the region.
Since the Israeli army resumed its attacks, 1,652 Palestinians, the vast majority of whom are elderly, women, and children, have lost their lives. 4,391 people have been injured in the attacks.
The number of Palestinians who have lost their lives in the attacks carried out by Israel on Gaza since October 7, 2023, has risen to 51,025, while the number of injured has reached 116,432.
