6 high-level appointments to armed forces and IRGC by Iranian Supreme Leader Khamenei
Under a decree signed by Iranian Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei, 6 high-level appointments have been made within the Iranian Armed Forces, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), and the Basij forces.
Iranian Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei has made new appointments to the armed forces and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
Under the decree signed by Khamenei, it was reported that Major General Ali Abdullahi has been appointed as Chief of the General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, and Brigadier General Kioumars Heydari as Deputy Chief of the General Staff.
Brigadier General Ahmad Vahidi was promoted to the rank of major general and appointed as Commander-in-Chief of the IRGC.
Brigadier General Mostafa Izadi was appointed as Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the IRGC.
Rear Admiral Ali Ozmayi was assigned as Commander of the IRGC Navy, while Hossein Taeb was appointed to lead the Basij forces.
