The report also includes the concerns of a citizen living in Istanbul's Göztepe district regarding an earthquake and recalls the Kahramanmaraş-centered earthquakes that occurred on February 6, 2023.
The report also notes that while Istanbul's infrastructure is in quite good condition, most of its buildings do not comply with regulations.
Furthermore, the report includes statements by Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu that 1.2 million citizens are at risk.
